Lille to face Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League play-offs | OneFootball

Lille OSC have been drawn to face Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League play-offs. Les Dogues qualified for the knock-out stages of the competition in defeating Freiburg yesterday thanks to Olivier Giroud’s injury-time penalty. Lille’s win propelled them to 18th-place in the Europa League standings.

Lille’s position in the standings means they were unseeded for today’s play-offs draw, that pitted them against Red Star Belgrade. The return leg will therefore be held at Belgrade’s Marakana. The Ligue 1 side will look to get even with Red Star Belgrade after losing to them in Matchday 4 of the Europa League. The games will be played on 19 and 26 February.
