Lionel Messi back in Inter Miami training after World Cup final break | OneFootball

Lionel Messi has rejoined Inter Miami training after a short break in Funes following the World Cup final in New Jersey.

According to SuperDepor.com, Messi arrived in Miami on a private flight from Rosario with his wife Antonela Roccuzzo and their children, then linked up with the team led by compatriot Guillermo Hoyos.

He reported to the club's facilities carrying mate, a flask and a small bag.

Inter Miami have resumed their league schedule after the World Cup with two wins, beating Chicago Fire 3-2 and Montreal F.C. 1-0.

In mid September, Messi will contest the Campeones Cup final, a one-off match between the most recent MLS champions and Liga MX's Campeón de Campeones, won by Cruz Azul against Toluca led by Antonio Mohamed.

He has already won the Leagues Cup and, late last year, the MLS title, but he has never claimed the Campeones Cup, staged since 2018, so he could add a new trophy.
