Lionel Messi honoured with stadium stand as Inter Miami open Nu Stadium era | OneFootball

Inter Miami have unveiled the Leo Messi Stand ahead of their Nu Stadium debut on the fourth of April, celebrating the Argentine’s achievements in Miami and worldwide.

The club said in a statement that most tributes look back, but this one reflects the present, the emotion when Messi steps onto the pitch, and that recognising someone need not close a chapter.

The new stands will be located across sections 117 to 121 in the lower bowl, and 217 to 223 in the upper bowl.

Nu Stadium is due to open when Inter Miami face Austin FC next Saturday.

It is the latest honour for Lionel Messi as accolades continue to accumulate.
