CaughtOffside reports that Liverpool and Arsenal are interested in Borussia Dortmund left-back Daniel Svensson, with both clubs, winners of the last two Premier League seasons, considering the Sweden international a potential target.
Liverpool are said to be leading the race as they look to reinforce their defence after Andy Robertson joined Tottenham Hotspur on a free. The reigning champions are well stocked at left-back, including former Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie, yet they suffered several defensive injuries in the 2025/26 season.
Svensson is under contract at Dortmund until 2029, leaving Niko Kovac's side in a strong position in any talks. Bild claims the Bundesliga club could seek a fee close to €30 million.
Dortmund signed the 24-year-old from FC Nordsjaelland 18 months ago for €6.5 million. He has made 45 Bundesliga appearances, 35 of them starts.
He also started for Sweden in their World Cup Round of 32 defeat to France. Dortmund have added 17-year-old Kauã Prates in his position, although he has missed the start of pre-season through injury.
