Liverpool have been heavily covered in the media this summer.

The Anfield outfit were expected to undergo an awful lot of changes with reports from before the window even opened suggesting that seven or eight new players could be signed by the Reds.

At the moment, that hasn't been the case with only three new players being brought in so far.

Indeed, there are some deals that are edging closer to completion but, at the moment, nothing concrete has been done.

However, with there still being a couple of weeks left until the transfer window slams shut, there's plenty more time for moves to be made.

Liverpool 'appreciate' Arsenal's Ethan Nwaneri

One of Liverpool's main problems at the moment is their attack.

Indeed, a double deal with Paris Saint-Germain for Ibrahim Mbaye and Bradley Barcola is being lined up but, the Reds still need other options available to them in case these deals fall through.

With this in mind, many different players have been linked with an Anfield switch and, while some rumours seem to have just vanished, new ones are emerging almost every other day.

And now, thanks to an update from Anfield Sector, Liverpool now have their eyes on Arsenal's Ethan Nwaneri.

"A player that Liverpool appreciate is Arsenal's Ethan Nwaneri," they shared via X.

Ethan Nwaneri would be a sensation signing for Liverpool

Aside from their attack, another one of the Reds' big problems is the number of homegrown players that they have among their ranks.

Thanks to Ronald Araujo's arrival, Liverpool now have no non-homegrown spots available in their squad.

Indeed, some players such as Wataru Endo and Calvin Ramsay could be sacrificed but, away from those two, there aren't really any more moves that the Reds could make to free up space in their squad.

That's why a lot of the players that have been linked to Liverpool this summer have been English.

And, obviously, Nwaneri would have been the same.

Despite the youngster coming through Arsenal's academy, he spent last season out on loan and, since the Gunners are signing new attackers left, right and centre, there's no wonder why he wants to leave the Emirates.

Not only this but, the fact that the attacker is only 19 years old and can play on either wing and as a number 10 gives Liverpool even more of a reason to sign him.
