In a recent report, Sabah claimed that Liverpool are keeping tabs on Galatasaray full-back Wilfried Singo. It is understood that the Reds would have to compete with Manchester United and Arsenal in the race to land the Ivory Coast defender next year.

Singo’s Impressive Form In Turkish Football

Singo has managed to put in a run of solid displays on the right side of Galatasaray’s defence this season. The Ivory Coast talent has picked up one assist in nine matches for the Turkish outfit in this campaign so far across various competitions.

The 24-year-old has caught the eye at times on the right flank and is currently among the best right-backs in the Turkish Super Lig. Thus, it is no surprise that the Reds are hoping to get a deal done for him next year.

His current contract at the Turkish club will run out in the summer of 2030. Hence, the Reds would have to make a big offer if they want to bring Singo to Anfield.

What Will Singo Bring To Liverpool?

Singo is a good tackler of the ball and can read the danger well to earn the ball back for his side inside his half. He usually clears his lines when the opposition are on the front foot and can create the odd chance for his teammates from the right flank.

The Ivory Coast sensation is primarily a right-back but can also operate as a centre-back or as a right-winger if asked to do so. However, there are some concerns over whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Reds manage to snap him up next year.

Singo would bring more quality and depth to Liverpool head coach Arne Slot’s defence. He is good enough to compete with Conor Bradley and Jeremie Frimpong for a regular starting place at the Merseyside club.

At 24, Singo has his peak years ahead of him and would be a great signing for the Reds in the long run. Hence, Slot should focus on going all out to lure him to Merseyside this January or at the end of this campaign.
