Liverpool, Arsenal, Man United and Dortmund ‘interested in’ Kaishu Sano | OneFootball

Nikkan Sports reports that Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund are interested in Mainz and Japan midfielder Kaishu Sano. It adds that Liverpool’s interest is strong.

Sano scored in Japan’s World Cup round of 32 tie with Brazil on Monday, but they were beaten 2-1.

The 25-year-old is coming off a strong season for Mainz, making 48 appearances in all competitions, with two goals and five assists.

He is under contract until 2028, leaving Mainz in a firm negotiating position.

In March, Bild speculated that Mainz could seek a €50-60 million fee for the midfielder. He has previously been linked with Eintracht Frankfurt and Brentford FC.
