Liverpool complete the signing of Khiara Keating | OneFootball

Liverpool have completed the signing of England international goalkeeper Khiara Keating.

Keating joins the Reds from Manchester City following the expiry of her contract, which did not conclude in 2027 like the Citizens had previously stated.

That left the 22-year-old free to switch to Merseyside where she has now joined former City manager Gareth Taylor at Liverpool.

"I think everyone knows Liverpool worldwide," Keating said about the move. "It’s such a big club and I think the women’s team is striving for greatness.

"I think the style of football that they play, they actually try to play – which suits me and my position.

"I think they’re just going in the right direction and [it is] a project that I want to be part of."

Last season, Keating struggled for game time with WSL winners City falling behind Ayaka Yamashita in the pecking order.
