Backroom shake-up continues at Liverpool after Arne Slot departure
Liverpool have announced that three members of staff have left the club.
Following the sacking of Arne Slot at the end of May, it has now been confirmed that Sipke Hulshoff, Ruben Peeters and Giovanni van Bronckhorst have all followed the Dutchman through the Anfield exit door.
Hulshoff and Peeters joined as first assistant coach and lead physical performance coach respectively when Slot was appointed as the successor to Jurgen Klopp in the summer of 2024.
Former Arsenal, Barcelona and Netherlands midfielder Van Bronckhorst, meanwhile, arrived at Anfield last summer to take up a role as an assistant coach within Slot’s set-up.
A statement reads: “Liverpool FC can confirm the departures of Sipke Hulshoff, Ruben Peeters and Giovanni van Bronckhorst from the coaching staff.
“The three will now leave their posts following the announcement of Slot’s departure as head coach last month.
“Everybody at LFC thanks Sipke, Ruben and Gio for all their efforts and contributions to the club and wishes them the best for the future.”

Liverpool’s announcement ultimately opens the door for new head coach Andoni Iraola to bring his own coaching staff, which is yet to be officially finalised following his appointment earlier in the month.
It is understood Iraola wants to bring assistants Tommy Elphick and Shaun Cooper, analyst Tom Webber and fitness coach Pablo de la Torre with him to Merseyside.
Former Liverpool players Thiago Alcantara and the recently-retired James Milner have also been linked with coaching roles, but the make-up of the backroom staff will remain a decision for the Spaniard.
