Liverpool confirm signing of Jérémy Jacquet from Rennes | OneFootball

Liverpool have completed the signing of Jérémy Jacquet from Rennes, five months after agreeing a deal in early February. Liverpool said in a statement on Wednesday that the 20-year-old French defender has signed a long-term contract, without disclosing its length, and that he views joining a club like Liverpool as a major dream.

The fee is 70 million euros, agreed at the end of the last winter window.

The transfer represents the biggest sale in Rennes’ history.

After the announcement of his impending move, he played only two matches in the second half of the season because of a shoulder injury.

He leaves Rennes, his formative club, after 33 senior appearances.
