In a recent report, The Independent mentioned that Liverpool could move in for Crystal Palace playmaker Eberechi Eze. It has been stated that the Reds might join Arsenal in the race to land the England international this summer.

Eze’s Impressive Form In The Premier League

The 27-year-old had a great campaign at the London club after he put in a string of impressive performances for them in the final third. Eze managed to help the Eagles win the FA Cup last season. He made 43 appearances for Crystal Palace in the previous campaign, finding the back of the net 14 times and earning 11 assists in all competitions.

The English talent proved his worth in the opponent’s half by averaging 3.48 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He was even accurate when distributing possession on the offensive end of the field based on his pass success rate of 27% in league football (stats via fbref.com).

His current contract at the English club will expire in the summer of 2027 which could make it difficult for the Reds to sign him on a cut-price deal this off-season.

What Will Eze Bring To Liverpool?

Eze can shoot the ball with venom and precision from long range. He has got the eye to play some decisive passes on the offensive end of the field and is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet.

The English talent can chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals in the final third. He mainly operates as an attacking midfielder but can also play as a left-sided wide player if told to do so.

We can expect Eze to bring more firepower to Liverpool head coach Arne Slot’s frontline. He is good enough to secure a regular first-team spot at the Merseyside club in the coming years.

At 27, Eze is about to enter his prime which makes him a worthy target for the Reds to pursue in this summer transfer window.
