PSG are keeping a close eye on Ibrahima Konaté—but they’re not alone. Real Madrid are also tracking the Liverpool center-back, and with the summer transfer window approaching, interest in the 26-year-old continues to build. Despite being under contract until 2026, Konaté is attracting attention from several top clubs.
With Milan Skriniar expected to leave permanently following his loan at Fenerbahçe, PSG have started looking at defensive reinforcements. While a deal for Konaté isn’t imminent, the French champions appear to be laying the groundwork for a potential move.
This isn’t the first time Konaté has been linked with a return to France. Earlier this year, Anfield Watch reported that PSG had already expressed interest. A Paris native who came through Paris FC’s academy before making a name for himself at RB Leipzig, Konaté is seen as a long-term solution at the back and a key target for PSG this summer.

MARCA reports that Konaté has rejected two contract extension offers from Liverpool, with his current deal set to expire next summer.
Football Insider recently reported that Liverpool still believes it can convince Ibrahima Konaté to sign a new deal, despite some setbacks.
According to the outlet, Konaté has already turned down the club’s first contract offer, sparking concerns that he could leave as a free agent in 2026, similar to the situation surrounding Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Still, Liverpool remain optimistic that an agreement can be reached.
The French defender would be able to negotiate with foreign clubs as early as January. Foot Mercato previously reported that Konaté had been offered to several top sides, including Real Madrid, PSG, and Barcelona, as part of early groundwork for a potential 2026 move.
