Liverpool strengthened their attack over the summer transfer window with the acquisitions of Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike and Jeremie Frimpong.

Those signings formed part of a £450m spending spree - which leaves Arne Slot’s squad in a good place to defend their Premier League title.

But the squad could be remodelled even further with one more superstar signing. That’s according to a new report in Fichajes - which claims both Liverpool and Arsenal have been alerted to the potential availability of Vinicius Junior.

The Real Madrid winger, 25, is under contract at Real Madrid only until 2027 - and there is a real danger of a new deal falling apart.

Vinicius Junior contract talks fall apart

Vinicius’ financial demands are reported to be beyond what Madrid are currently prepared to pay - and if no deal is reached then they may well sacrifice him in 2026.

“Arsenal and Liverpool have been informed that the Brazilian could consider leaving at the end of the season if he doesn't renew his contract,” the report reads.

“Liverpool would see him as a luxury addition to form a dream attack alongside Florian Wirtz, Mohamed Salah, and Alexander Isak.”

Widely seen as one of the greatest players in the world, Vinicius’ contract talks with the Bernabeu side have been stalled for quite some time.

Vini has been in productive form at the start of the season under Xabi Alonso - scoring three goals and adding three assists in six La Liga matches.
