In July, RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins reported that two conditions would need to be met for Barcola to leave PSG: the player would have to want out, and the club would need to receive an offer exceeding €100 million. Neither happened, despite interest from Liverpool and other clubs.

Recently, Hawks shared more details of what transpired this past summer regarding Barcola.

“Several clubs wanted Barcola this summer: Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City also inquired,” Hawkins said (h/t Le10Sport). “PSG resisted strongly, keeping him and assuring him that he was part of the project and an important player.

“So, depending on what happens in the coming months, I think it will give indications on whether Bradley Barcola will extend his contract or not. But it’s true that PSG’s ultimate goal is to extend him because they know they have a player with a unique profile

This information comes after Fichajes reported that Real Madrid have set their sights on Barcola as a potential replacement for Rodrygo, who may be on his way out this season. The club is eager to strengthen its attack with promising young talent, and Barcola checks that box.
