Liverpool improved their attacking lineup during last summer’s transfer window.
Despite winning the Premier League title in 2024/25, Arne Slot and Richard Hughes did not stand still. Out went the likes of Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Harvey Elliott with Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike coming in their place.
But you get the sense that the Reds still aren’t done. Reports in the past few days have suggested that a “top winger” could be on the agenda for 2026.
Antoine Semenyo and Michael Olise have been the two names most closely linked of late. Semenyo, 25, recently signed a new contract with Bournemouth and would likely command around £80m in the transfer market.
Olise, 23, would go for even MORE than that - given his prominence in the Bayern Munich and France lineups. But there is another versatile option who has long interested the Reds’ recruitment staff - and who could be the subject of a bidding war next summer.

Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea will compete for the signing of Morgan Rogers - according to a new report in Fichajes.
“Liverpool and PSG have joined Chelsea in the fight for this attacking midfielder, whose value is around 80 million euros,” the report reads.
Rogers, 23, signed for Aston Villa in February 2024 and has gone on to establish himself as a Champions League performer as well as an England international.
Tied to the Villans until 2030, the forward could yet be sold in order to help his club comply with financial fair play and PSR regulations.
“External factors such as financial sustainability rules (PSR) also weigh in,” the report continues. “If Villa fails to meet certain economic criteria, he could be forced to sell valuable assets, increasing market tension.”
Not strictly a winger, Rogers can play in behind a frontman as a No10 as well as on either side of the attack. It’s not the first time he’s been linked with Liverpool.
