Life is too precious, and Diogo Jota's death has reminded all of us that important motto to live by.
The terrible tragedy which has ripped the Portuguese international and his brother, Andre Silva, away from us will live long in the memory.
Their passing leaves a deep wound that will be impossible to recover from. For a long time, we will be hurting. Their teammates, colleagues, and loved ones will feel this pain even more acutely.
For Liverpool there is only one thing we can do. We must come together and we must support everyone impacted by this tragedy.
Whether it's our fellow supporters all around us or whether its sharing messages of condolences on social media, the most important thing is that we remember and we stay united.
Even more than ever, the players will need our support.
They are going to be embarking on the most difficult and testing period in their careers. It's impossible to fathom that now after all of this, Liverpool have to think about preparing for a new season.
It's impossible to comprehend what this will entail. Understandably, the club is in no rush or hurry to make a decision about how pre-season will look like.
At this time the players will feel an immense amount of pain and grief. The kind of grief you can only comprehend if you've lost someone close to you in a tragedy.
There are no protocols for this kind of grief. Every single player will be coping in their own way.
As fans, all we can do is to send them messages of support. At Anfield. Or on social media. Most importantly, we must not pass judgement, we must not criticise performances - at least for the considerable future.
These players are human. The fact that they will be able to play at all is going to be a challenge on its own. We must stand with them. At times like this, the Anfield choir and the fans are going to be what carries them through.
Liverpool have shown times and times again that we can stay strong in spite of adversity. Unfortunately, another tragedy has hit all of us and now we must come together as one.
For the next few months, if you don't already, keep the club's anthem at the forefront of your thoughts.
We must show the players this is more than just a slogan. It's something we will always stand by.
