Despite another free-kick goal from Dominik Szobozslai Liverpool could only record a point against Tottenham after Richarlison’s 89th-minute equaliser stunned the home support.

Starting XI

Allison Becker – 7/10

Did well to thwart Richarlison numerous times but was unable to do much about the equaliser. A solid performance and a welcome boost to have him back in the sticks ahead of the mid-week clash against Galatasaray.

Dominik Szobozslai – 8/10

Once again netted with a free-kick, although it was far from his best. Also produced a number of good crosses that his team-mates failed to capitalise on.

Joe Gomez – 6/10

Should have picked up Richarlison before the goal but overall a solid performance.

Virgil Van Dijk– 7/10

Did superb to apply pressure to Richarlison after the striker got the wrong side of him, to ensure that he would not get an easy shot off. A Virgil Van Dijk performance that we have become accustomed to.

Andy Robertson– 5/10

Was not strong enough when challenging Kolo Muani after Vicario’s long ball that led to the equaliser. Other than that, a solid if quiet performance.

Ryan Gravenberch – 7/10

Was Liverpool’s engine in the midfield and displayed numerous moments of his quality, including a brilliant turn that led to a shot he could not steer on target.

Alexis Mac Allister– 6/10

Won the free-kick that opened the scoring with his quick-feet but overall, a quiet game for the Argentinian.

Florian Wirtz – 6/10

Some very nice touches throughout the game, but did not have the impact on the game. Probably should have done better when Ngumoha found him in the box just before he was substituted on 63 minutes.

Rio Ngumoha – 8/10

An impressive first start in the league, looked dangerous and attacked with intent throughout. Grew in confidence as the game progressed and was Liverpool’s biggest threat until he was substituted on 63 minutes.

Cody Gakpo – 7/10

Led the line sufficiently before being moved to his favoured left-side after the introduction of Etitiké, where he carried a greater threat. Played one gorgeous pass through to Salah.

Jeremie Frimpong – 7/10

Used his pace to deliver a few crosses, one which found Ngumoha deep in the box. Had to battle with Spence in what was, in the end an even match-up. Substitued on 63 minutes.

Substitutes

Mohammed Salah – 6/10

Was an instant threat when substituted but did not do enough to impact the match.

Curtis Jones – 5/10

Only 11 touches in 26 minutes, did not impose himself on the game.

Hugo Etitiké – 6/10

Similar story as he failed to make the impact that has become expected of him this season.

Trey Nyoni – 6/10

Appeared for seven minutes.

Federico Chiesa – 6/10

Subbed on 90+1 did not have the time to make an impact..
