Liverpool have been tipped to conduct a summer overhaul in the transfer window. Hopes are high that an agreement can soon be found with Bayer Leverkusen over Florian Wirtz.

That deal will cost the Reds in the region of £126m overall but the spending won’t stop there. There are ambitions for the club to add a centre-forward and a left-back - with a resolution soon to be found with Bournemouth over Milos Kerkez.

But in order to accommodate new players in Arne Slot’s squad, it’s inevitable that sales will take place. Several first-team squad members have been linked with the exit - including Luis Diaz.

The Colombian winger is coming off the back of a 13-goal season in the Premier League, helping his side to a 20th top-flight title. But that output has done little to diminish transfer talk around the 28-year-old.

Barcelona and Al-Nassr want Diaz

Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes has got a contract issue to solve with Diaz - as his current deal runs out in 2027. If no accord is reached over a new deal - and there are no indications that there will be - then Diaz could well be on his way this summer.

Barcelona and Al-Nassr are among the teams vying for the left-winger’s signature. The Spanish champions are unlikely to afford Diaz - given his quoted asking price and wage demands. But Al-Nassr could well be back in for the South American sensation.

And according to a new report in Football Insider, Liverpool’s minimum demands have now been revealed.

Liverpool would accept £60m to £70m for Diaz

“I don’t see how Barcelona could afford him, unless there’s some major changes going on there,” states transfer expert Pete O’Rourke.

“Financially, they’re probably looking at around £60million plus, £70million for Luis Diaz.

“His reputation has only been enhanced [since] moving to Liverpool from Porto.

“He’s won the Premier League title. He’s been a regular for Colombia as well. “If Saudi Pro League clubs do come calling for Diaz, then maybe Liverpool could drive up that asking price to get as much as they possibly can.”
