Liverpool sign highly-rated Swedish youngster Bergström | OneFootball

Liverpool have completed the signing of highly-rated Swedish youngster Alice Bergström.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Reds earlier this afternoon.

The 22-year-old right-sided player joins Liverpool from Swedish OBOS Damallsvenskan club BK Häcken FF where she has spent the last two years of her career. Bergström made 25 appearances for The Wasps in last season’s OBOS Damallsvenskan as the club sealed the league title. Bergström can also count Tyresö FF, Älvsjö AIK FF and Djurgårdens IF amongst her former clubs.

On the international stage, Bergström has represented Sweden at various youth levels up to and including Under-23 level. The next step is for the youngster to push for honours in the senior squad after being handed her maiden call-up in the November 2025 international window.

After joining Liverpool, Bergström said “I’m really excited. I’ve been waiting a long time so it’s nice to be here.

“I’m really excited to get started and it’s going to be a good year.”

Bergström is Liverpool’s first signing of the January transfer window. The Reds are expected to be very active in the transfer market this month as they look to climb the Barclays Women’s Super League table.
