Out-of-favour Liverpool forward Federico Chiesa, who could head out of the club, has been offered to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Turkish Super Lig outfit Besiktas.
The Italian winger was a top player during his time at Fiorentina and in his first few years at Serie A giants Juventus.
Chiesa though was sold by Juventus to Liverpool last summer, with the Reds spotting an opportunity to get him for a cut price fee.
However, he could not get rid of his injury issues at Liverpool as well, and ended up playing less than 500 minutes all season.
He has been linked with potential moves to different Italian clubs from the last winter window, and he is still expected to leave in this window.
The 27-year-old has been linked with a move to AC Milan, and the Serie A giants have made new contact with the Reds, but the deal is not easy.
And now, according to Turkish outlet Sozcu, Besiktas have been offered the chance to sign the Liverpool forward.
The Reds, though, do not want to loan him out as they are looking to strengthen their kitty with a permanent transfer for the forward.
Chiesa is also looking to move on from the Reds in search of regular game time, and it remains to be seen if Manchester United legend Solskjaer is willing to take the Italian.
Turkish clubs like Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are showing their ambition to sign top names from European clubs, and Besiktas could become another name.
Chiesa’s contract at Anfield does not end until the summer of 2028 and it remains to be seen if his career in England ends after just one season.
He did play and score in the EFL Cup final, as Liverpool were beaten by Newcastle United.
