Liverpool will reportedly look into a deal for a brilliant France international. This could be the one.

Teamtalk reports that Maghnes Akliouche is 'firmly' on Liverpool shortlist for the summer. The Reds will look into a deal for the 24-year-old as they seek their next star winger.

Akliouche, who is currently with AS Monaco, has forced his way into the France side. The winger stands as one of the most exciting young players in Europe right now - someone who could be right on the brink of stardom.

It's a similar position to Mo Salah and Sadio Mane when the Reds signed them. Wingers who just needed to move up a level in order to fill their potential, right before their prime years.

Akliouche fits the bill in that regard - and may well be a replacement for Salah, who has been linked with a summer exit.

Liverpool do have other targets on their list as well, but Akliouche is a firm one. They'll consider a move and see exactly what it would take to get him.

Maghnes Akliouche: Situation Summary

Transfer Pursuit and Valuation

Liverpool has reportedly joined Manchester United in the race for the 24-year-old Monaco star. With Salah expected to move to the Saudi Pro League this summer, Liverpool views Akliouche as a versatile successor. Reports from TEAMtalk suggest Monaco could be persuaded to sell for approximately €60 million (£51m), despite his contract running until June 2028. His ability to play across the frontline and as an attacking midfielder makes him a high-priority "strategic" target for the Reds.

Season Performance

Akliouche is enjoying a standout 2025/26 campaign with Monaco, recording 5 goals and 3 assists in 23 Ligue 1 appearances. He recently starred in a 3-1 victory over PSG on 6 March, scoring once and providing an assist. Across all competitions, his output has reached 7 goals and 8 assists.

International Recognition

His domestic form has secured his place in Didier Deschamps' France squad. He was recently called up for the March 2026 friendlies against Brazil and Colombia and is widely expected to be part of the final roster for the 2026 World Cup.
