LNER has issued key guidance for Leeds United supporters travelling to Wembley on Sunday, with services between Leeds and London King’s Cross expected to be very busy for the club’s first FA Cup semi-final in nearly 40 years.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, fans are urged to check the LNER Travel Alerts page before setting off, arrive at stations in good time, travel only on their booked service and use their reserved seat, with standing likely for those without reservations.

Passengers are asked to be considerate of others, with many travelling for the London Marathon, and to give up seats for those who hold reservations. Supporters are also reminded to be respectful to rail staff working throughout the day.

To help as many Whites fans reach Wembley for the tie against Chelsea, LNER has added extra trains and more than 2,000 additional seats in both directions on Sunday, with limited availability remaining.

For those staying in the city, dozens of Leeds pubs are preparing watch-along events for supporters.
