Locminé incidents after Bordeaux 2-1 win as clubs condemn assaults | OneFootball

Around 30 minutes after full-time in National 2, a group of Bordeaux supporters returned to the Saint-Colomban Locminé ground and assaulted several people. Both clubs later condemned the incidents.

Bordeaux had been warmly welcomed for matchday 24 in Morbihan and won 2-1, ending back-to-back defeats against La Roche-sur-Yon, 0-1, and Chauray, 1-3. According to Sud-Ouest, around 450 Bordeaux supporters travelled and were housed in a designated away section.

Some identified as Ultramarines threw punches after the game and one bloodied individual took refuge in the partners’ marquee, with the assailants reportedly citing provocations from a rival Nantes group.

Locminé expressed dismay at the behaviour, describing it as unacceptable and contrary to the club’s values of respect and conviviality.

Bordeaux condemned the unacceptable actions, saying they do not reflect its values of respect, responsibility and fair play. The club also thanked Locminé, its staff and volunteers for the quality of their welcome.
