Flamengo are monitoring the return of on-loan midfielder Lorran, whose Pisa deal runs to 30 June. With the squad on a 2026 World Cup break, his next step remains unclear.
According to Coluna Do Fla, the initial plan is to seek another loan for the youngster after he struggled to adapt and lost ground under Filipe Luís. Before departing for Italy, he had been moved back to the under-20s.
Head coach Leonardo Jardim and the club’s hierarchy will now assess options before deciding on the midfielder’s future. Lorran is under contract with Flamengo until 2029. It also remains undecided whether he will report on Friday 19 with the rest of the squad as preparations resume after the World Cup.
His stint at Pisa began brightly but tailed off. He made 10 appearances, scored one goal on debut and started only one match.
Flamengo received 500,000 euros for the loan. A purchase obligation was set at four million euros with Flamengo retaining 50 percent of economic rights, contingent on him featuring in half of the season’s games and the team remaining in the Italian top flight, conditions that were not met.
Lorran previously had an offer from Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia, but chose Italy to pursue a European ambition. Having failed to establish himself, his next move is still open.
