Lucas Digne signs new Aston Villa contract | OneFootball

Aston Villa defender Lucas Digne has signed a new long-term contract with the Premier League club, committing his future to Villa Park until 2028.

The 31-year-old French international joined Villa from Everton in January 2022 and has since made over 100 appearances in claret and blue. His consistent performances have established him as a key figure under manager Unai Emery.

Digne began his professional career at Lille and has also played for some of Europe’s top clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, AS Roma, and Barcelona. He has earned over 40 caps for the French national team.

The extension comes as Villa continue to build on their progress under Emery, with Digne’s experience and leadership expected to play a vital role in the club’s ambitions across domestic and European competitions.
