Lucas Paquetá will leave West Ham United after three-and-a-half seasons with the club to return to former club Flamengo.
The Brazilian midfielder joined the Hammers from Lyon in the summer of 2022 with the club paying over £50 million for the player.
After a bright start to life with West Ham, his time at the club was interrupted by an investigation into potential betting breaches of which he was eventually cleared.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 28-year-old is now heading back to Brazil to complete a permanent switch for €42 million (approx £36.5m).
In total, Paquetá played 139 games for the Irons, scoring 23 goals and making 15 assists. He also played the full 90 minutes when West Ham defeated Fiorentina to win the 2023 UEFA Conference League under David Moyes.
