Le Progres reports that AS Saint-Étienne have completed the signing of 17-year-old forward Lucas Reynaud on his first professional contract, a three-year deal after his arrival from Stade brestois.
The versatile attacker scored 18 goals in 18 U19 National matches last season. He will initially join the reserve group led by Sylvain Gibert.
Director of sport Loïc Perrin said the club had been monitoring Reynaud for some time and that he could address a need in that position.
Reynaud expressed pride at joining AS Saint-Étienne, calling it a major, ambitious club. He added that he is eager to wear the colours and ready to give everything.
The teenager’s early steps will come with the reserves, offering a platform to settle before pushing for senior opportunities.
