Lucas Veríssimo suffered right calf pain and limped off late in Santos’ 0-0 first leg against Remo at Vila Belmiro, leaving him a doubt for Tuesday’s Copa do Brasil decider in Belém.

According to Globo.com, the centre-back departed in stoppage time and was replaced by Adonís Frías.

Frías would likely start if an injury is confirmed.

Head coach Cuca said Veríssimo is a concern and will have tests, adding he hopes it is nothing serious. He also noted that Ananias is growing into a starting role despite some flaws.

Cuca pointed to a shortage of centre-backs and said Arão can cover when required.

Santos now need to get the job done away from home after creating numerous chances in Vila Belmiro but failing to find a way past Remo.
