Luciano Moggi explains why Juventus needs Kessie | OneFootball

Juventus are interested in a summer move for Franck Kessie and have already earned the trust of the midfielder, who wants to join them in the coming days.

Kessie is coming off the back of three rich and successful seasons in Saudi Arabia, where he played for Al Ahli, and the Ivorian wants to play for the Bianconeri. He has offers from Turkiye and the Saudi Pro League, but he wants to end his career on a high note, so he is focused on playing for a top team.

Kessie wants a Juventus move

Juve are the chosen club for him to continue his career, and they are trying to make some sales to create room for him on their wage bill. The midfielder has already proven to be a hit in Serie A, so he is expected to shine in Turin if the move goes through.

Juventus have struggled in midfield in recent times, and Kessie’s experience could provide an important boost. His physicality, personality and ability to contribute in several areas could make him a valuable addition to the squad.

Luciano Moggi is confident that Kessie would bring plenty to the current Juventus midfield. He believes the former AC Milan player has the qualities needed to improve the team and provide greater balance in the middle of the pitch.

Moggi backs Kessie to make an impact

As quoted by Calciomercato, Moggi believes Kessie could provide the level of reinforcement Juventus need in midfield.

“This situation can be overcome with a level reinforcement in midfield, which is why in the event of Kessiè’s arrival I would say the managers are good. The former AC Milan player is someone who can bring order and personality, has the leg and can score goals, can act as a barrier and facilitate counterattacks. I have faith in Carnevali and Massara and the Juventus fans must have it too, let’s let them work”.

Kessie’s desire to return to a top European club could therefore play an important role in the negotiations. While he has offers from elsewhere, Juventus remain his preferred destination.

The club must still create room on their wage bill before completing the move, but the midfielder’s willingness to join them gives Juventus an advantage. If they can make the necessary sales, Kessie could soon return to Serie A and strengthen an area that has caused them problems.
