Luciano Vietto responds to ESPN post, AI-edited image suspected | OneFootball

At 32, Luciano Vietto has started a new chapter at San Lorenzo, yet attention turned online when an image of his warm-up before his substitute debut against Central Córdoba highlighted doubts over his fitness.

According to Superdeporte, ESPN posted a photo asking whether he would make his debut, which portrayed him in less than elite condition. Vietto replied, telling the network to perform an obscene act and saying he would share a shirtless photo the next day.

He later uploaded a picture on X showing a muscular physique while carrying meat for an asado. The image appears AI-altered, apparently to mislead followers.

The Argentine striker came through Racing and produced his best football in LaLiga with Villarreal, Atlético de Madrid, Valencia and Sevilla. Brief spells in England and Portugal followed before a move to Saudi Arabia, where he represented three clubs with limited impact.

He then returned home, spending a year and a half at Presidente Perón, before joining San Lorenzo in January. He made his debut off the bench against Central Córdoba.
