Luighi and Abel Ferreira sanctioned over Corinthians v Palmeiras derby incidents | OneFootball

The TJD-SP ruled on Tuesday 10 on incidents involving Luighi and Abel Ferreira from the 8 February derby, issuing sanctions after Palmeiras beat Corinthians 1-0.

According to Nosso Palestra, the incidents occurred at Neo Química Arena.

After Flaco López’s goal, Luighi kicked a loose ball beside Hugo Souza’s goal and it struck a Corinthians supporter in the stands.

He was charged under Article 258 of the CBJD and given a one-match ban, converted into a warning. The article covers conduct contrary to sporting discipline or ethics not specified elsewhere.

Head coach Abel Ferreira was also cited under Article 258, item II, following his dismissal by referee Raphael Claus in the same match.

Item II addresses disrespect shown to match officials or disrespectful protests against their decisions. Abel received a one-match suspension, which he served in the following game, so he is free to lead Palmeiras in their next Campeonato Paulista match.
