Luis de la Fuente has kept faith with Athletic’s world champions Unai Simón, Nico Williams and Aymeric Laporte for Spain’s Nations League opener next week.

Spain start at Wembley against England on Saturday 26 September. They then host Croatia in Seville on Tuesday 29, and Czechia in Oviedo on Saturday three October. The window closes in Split against Croatia on Tuesday six October, with all games kicking off at 20:45 peninsular time.

These will be Spain’s first matches since lifting the World Cup in the United States. The team will also debut their new shirt bearing a second star on the crest.
