Lyon ended a six-match winless run in Ligue 1 with a 2-0 win over Lorient, transformed after the break by Endrick. Dominik Greif's first-half interventions set the platform and Lyon banked a 15th clean sheet of the season.
According to L'Équipe, no side in the five major European leagues has recorded more clean sheets this season.
Greif, assured with his feet, produced a stunning reflex stop to deny Bamba Dieng at 45+2, keeping the match level at the interval.
Endrick, benched by Paulo Fonseca after criticism on Friday, came on at half-time and lifted OL. He crossed for Roman Iaremtchouk for 1-0 at 49, then forced Yvon Mvogo into a save that preceded Corentin Tolisso's header for 2-0 at 56.
Tolisso, recently short of full fitness, could not start but his introduction reshaped Lyon's midfield. He fed Endrick in the build-up to the opener.
At 81, Greif diverted an Avom strike and Endrick was cautioned for a cynical foul as he tried to halt a counter.
For Lorient, Pablo Pagis stood out with his movement and close control. Ainsley Maitland-Niles struggled, first in midfield then at right-back against Arsène Kouassi's pace. Bamo Meïté lacked finesse and Abdoulaye Faye's poor clearance aided Lyon's second, while Bamba Dieng, contained by Moussa Niakhaté, lacked precision in front of goal.
