Lyon in advanced negotiations with Estoril for Felix Bacher | OneFootball

Olympique Lyonnais are reportedly in advanced negotiations with Estoril over the transfer of Felix Bacher (25), according to information from Foot Mercato.

The Austrian centre-back, who is under contract with the Portuguese club until 2028, is expected to fly to France shortly to join Les Gones, whose offer of €4m is set to secure his services.

Having joined the Primeira Liga from WSG Tirol two years ago, Bacher quickly established himself as one of the league’s leading figures. Tall, powerful and quick, the Lienz-born player started every one of the 35 matches he featured in across all competitions last season, confirming his importance to Ian Cathro’s side.

Should he join Lyon, Bacher would become the club’s sixth summer signing – after Mads Bidstrup (25), Julien Duranville (20), Noham Kamara (19), Mohamed Ouédraogo (23) and Kaïl Boudache (20) – whilst the Lyon management continue their search for a first-choice centre-forward ahead of their Champions League third qualifying round tie.
