Ainsley Maitland-Niles will miss Olympique Lyonnais’ visit to face Celta Vigo in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night. 

The Englishman will be out for a couple of weeks, and against La Liga opposition later today, Paulo Fonseca may choose to hand a professional debut to Steeve Kango at right-back. There are few options in this position, with Hans Hateboer not included in Lyon’s Europa League squad. There is the option of rejigging the system and placing Tanner Tessmann deeper, allowing Clinton Mata to go out wide, but it is more likely that Kango will start, as per L’Équipe.

Despite his middling form in recent weeks, Endrick is expected to lead the line for Lyon, alongside Roman Yaremchuk. The likes of Pavel Sulc, Malick Fofana, Ernest Nuamah, Ruben Kluivert, and Afonso Moreira all remain sidelined.
