Lyon reach agreement to sign Mads Bidstrup | OneFootball

Olympique Lyonnais have reached an agreement with Red Bull Salzburg for the signing of their captain, Mads Bidstrup (25), as per a report from L’Équipe. 

Lyon are preparing to participate in the preliminary rounds of the UEFA Champions League. As the transfer window opens, they are already strengthening their squad. Kail Boudache’s arrival has already been confirmed. The winger has joined on a free transfer from OGC Nice. 

Julien Duranville also looks set to join in a €5.5m deal from Borussia Dortmund. Bidstrup is also nearing a move to the Groupama Stadium. As per L’Équipe, a €10m agreement has been agreed with RB Salzburg. The Danish midfielder is set to sign a five-year deal.

An undisputed starter for Thomas Letsch’s team, Bidstrup started 34 of the 36 matches he played across all competitions this season – contributing one assist. Should he sign with Lyon, the Dane could effectively replace Tanner Tessmann (24), whose departure this summer seems increasingly likely, as the American – who was not called up by Mauricio Pochettino for the World Cup – is reportedly attracting interest from the Premier League.
