Magdeburg extend Mateusz Zukowski’s contract until 2029 | OneFootball

Magdeburg have extended Mateusz Zukowski’s contract until the summer of 2029, the club announced this evening.

The second-division side moved to keep the 24-year-old amid interest from Bundesliga rivals 1.FC Köln and Eintracht Frankfurt.

Zukowski, a right-back by trade, joined from Slask Wroclaw a year ago.

He went on to score 17 goals in 21 second-division matches in the 2025-26 campaign, finishing as Magdeburg’s top scorer.

Sporting director Peer Jaekel said Zukowski is more than just a striker for the club, adding that he has developed impressively in recent months and quickly become a key figure.
