FC Barcelona began the new campaign on a winning note, as they secured a 3-0 victory over RCD Mallorca in their season-opener at Son Moix on Saturday.
Even though Hansi Flick was not entirely happy with the performance of his team, the Blaugrana will be pleased to have taken three points against a tricky opponent at a difficult venue.
Up next will be a trip to the Valencian region as Barça get set to take on newly-promoted side UD Levante.
In a major boost, AS reports that Barcelona veteran superstar Robert Lewandowski will be ready for Saturday’s match against Levante.
The centre-forward’s recovery is progressing more positively than initially expected by the medical staff. If there are no setbacks, the Polish international will be available for the second matchday of La Liga.

Lewandowski has been sidelined since last week after suffering a thigh injury in training. While the club did not specify a recovery timeline for the 36-year-old, it was suggested that he could be out for as long as three weeks.
It would have potentially ruled the former Bayern Munich superstar out of action for Barcelona’s first three La Liga games.
Nevertheless, Lewandowski’s recovery has progressed much better than anticipated, and ultimately, he will have been sidelined for just over two weeks.
In fact, he is expected to rejoin the group at the start of next week and be cleared on Friday, in time to face Levante.
Lewandowski’s imminent return is a big boost for Barcelona. However, it will not be an easy decision for Hansi Flick when selecting his starting striker against Levante, especially given that Ferran Torres scored after starting against Mallorca last evening.
