Grenoble goalkeeper Mamadou Diop is to join Auxerre.

According to L'Équipe, the 26-year-old, who stands 2.04 m, had been tracked by several Ligue 1 clubs, notably Stade Brestois.

Among goalkeepers on the market, he was regarded as one of the most closely watched options.

The Burgundy club had made the Mauritania international, capped seven times, its priority for weeks.

He is expected to sign a four-year contract.
