Mamoudou Cissokho will sign his first professional contract with Auxerre this week, a three-year deal for the 18-year-old winger.

According to L'Équipe, the academy product features in the club’s planning for next season after a turbulent spell in its hierarchy.

He featured three times for the first team this season, including late Ligue 1 cameos against Metz and Angers.

Cissokho also played nearly half an hour against Monaco in the Coupe de France, a 1-2 defeat, and was named in the league matchday squad eight times.

The left-footed winger is valued for his direct running and ability to beat defenders, often operating from the right as an inverted option.

He is due to report for the restart with the senior squad, where he will meet Will Still, Auxerre’s future head coach.
