Manchester City can book their place at Wembley Stadium on Sunday when they visit Bournemouth in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

Victory will see the Cityzens earn a trip to the capital for the semi-finals of the world's oldest cup competition but they will face a sizeable test in the form of Bournemouth, who beat Pep Guardiola's side at the Vitality Stadium earlier this term.

City can salvage some pride from a largely miserable campaign should they claim the FA Cup for the eighth time in their history and the third under Guardiola's tutelage. They remain favourites for this year's crown despite their underwhelming form.

Here is how City could line up on the south coast.

GK: Stefan Ortega - Ederson's fitness issues ruled him out of Brazil's World Cup qualifying double during the international break and Ortega may be called upon at Bournemouth this weekend.

RB: Rico Lewis - Guardiola has chopped and changed his right-backs this season but Lewis now stands clear as the best candidate. He's started three of the last five outings for City and is well-rested having been snubbed for England duty.

CB: Abdukodir Khusanov - Khusanov's own goal against Brighton & Hove Albion before the international break added to a growing list of blunders from the January recruit, whose form has been otherwise pretty solid. Injuries to Nathan Ake, Manuel Akanji and John Stones means the youngster must start at Bournemouth.

CB: Ruben Dias - Dias helped Portugal book their place in the Nations League semi-finals over the international period and will want to help City reach the last four of the FA Cup this weekend.

LB: Josko Gvardiol - Gvardiol was not so fortunate during the Nations League quarter-finals as Croatia exited at the hands of France on penalties. He played just shy of 200 minutes across two games and will feel the burn on Sunday.

DM: Nico Gonzalez - The winter signing has been unable to fill Rodri's gargantuan shoes yet and will be tasked with stifling the in-form Justin Kluivert, who is wreaking havoc in attacking midfield.

DM: Ilkay Gundogan - Despite Gundogan's ageing legs proving costly for City this season, Guardiola continues to favour the German ahead of the more mobile and athletic Mateo Kovacic.

RW: Savinho - Savinho was sparingly used by Brazil in meetings with Colombia and Argentina and the speed merchant should be fresh enough to start on the right-hand side at Bournemouth.

AM: Omar Marmoush - Marmoush has saved his best performances for the Etihad - including a wonderful strike last time out - and Guardiola needs the Egyptian to take such form on his travels.

LW: Jeremy Doku - In Savinho and Doku, City have two extremely exciting forwards who struggle to consistently produce end product. Unfortunately for Guardiola, the likes of Jack Grealish, Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva have been similarly ineffective of late.

ST: Erling Haaland - The Norwegian colossus scored twice over the international break and has still been finding the back of the net with impressive regularity in light blue. He has 29 goals and four assists in 39 outings for the Cityzens this term.
