Manchester City have already taken a one-nil lead against title rivals Arsenal before a ball has been struck in anger ahead of the 2026/27 Premier League season.
With new boss Enzo Maresca in, City continue their push to add reinforcements at the Etihad this summer, with the club having now agreed a deal for Leicester City and England youth international star Jeremy Monga.
Per The Athletic, City will shell out £12.5million (£10million plus £2.5million in potential contingencies) for the 16-year-old, U19 winger, beating the Gunners to his signature after the London club reportedly pulled out of negotiations due to the required fee.
Maresca is said to have driven the club's efforts in securing Monga's services due to the Italian's connection to the youngster during his spell at the KP Stadium back in 2023/24.
Monga, who also reportedly fielded interest from Real Madrid and Chelsea, was a coveted summer target by Arsenal as they look to revamp the left side of their attack both currently and down the line.
The Coventry-born talent has already featured in the Premier League, while taking part in Leicester's Championship campaign last term, making 30 appearances.
