Must-win fixture for Man City to keep pressure on Arsenal in title race
Manchester City’s Premier League title hopes are hanging in the balance as they face Brentford this weekend.
Man City know victory over the Bees will close the gap on Arsenal to two points, but they are no longer in control of the title race after drawing 3-3 with Everton on Monday night.
While Jeremy Doku’s stoppage time equaliser salvaged a point on Merseyside, Pep Guardiola’s side are now in a position where they need a slip from the Gunners to have any chance of reclaiming the title.
Keith Andrews’ side, meanwhile, are firmly in the hunt for Europe and can take a major step towards consolidating a top seven finish with a positive result in Manchester.
The match will take place at the Etihad Stadium, renamed 'The City in the Community Etihad Stadium' for one game only as part of the ongoing recognition of the club's official charity.
TV channel: In the UK, the game will be televised live on Sky Sports. Coverage starts at 5pm BST on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League.

Man City are sweating over the fitness of influential midfielder Rodri who has now missed the last three games since sustaining a groin injury in the win over Arsenal.
Ruben Dias has not played since the Champions League round of 16 second leg loss to Real Madrid and is also a doubt.
Josko Gvardiol underwent surgery on a broken leg in January and could play again before the season ends, though Guardiola should provide an update on the defender in the pre-match press conference.
With games against Crystal Palace and Chelsea, in the FA Cup final, to follow next week, the Man City boss could freshen things up with Phil Foden among those pushing to start.
Brentford hope to have Jordan Henderson and Rico Henry available for selection, but Fabio Carvalho and Antoni Milambo have been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
Leading scorer Igor Thiago is expected to start as he battles for the Premier League Golden Boot award. The Brazilian is three off Erling Haaland, with it now being a two-horse race.

It was a rather surprising second half collapse from Man City against Everton, going from 1-0 up to 3-1 down in the space of 13 minutes.
However, the fightback was proof that they will not give up on the title race without a fight.
We expect Brentford to provide a stern test for City, but one that Guardiola’s side will overcome to cut the gap on Arsenal to two points before their game at West Ham.
Man City to win, 3-1.
Man City have won both matches against Brentford this season without conceding a goal and have not lost to the bees at home since November 2022.
