Pep Guardiola’s FA Cup winners look to be at full strength for must-win clash in Premier League title race
Pep Guardiola has named Rayan Cherki on the bench once again as Manchester City take on Bournemouth tonight.
Guardiola made one surprise call when he named his team for the FA Cup final, leaving Cherki on the bench. He presumably took that decision to keep the tricky Frenchman fresh for this game, however, there is no immediate recall.
After Rodri returned from a niggling groin injury to play 65 minutes of Saturday’s FA Cup final win over Chelsea, City have cleared their injury list and have every player fit for selection in a must-win game at the Vitality Stadium.
It is a timely boost for Guardiola and City, who know following Arsenal’s nervy 1-0 home win over Burnley last night that any slip-up on the south coast will hand the Premier League title to Mikel Arteta’s side with a game to spare.
Omar Marmoush does make way after he was hooked at half-time against Chelsea, with Mateo Kovacic coming into midfield instead.
Jeremy Doku is at the top of his game and is restored to the lineup.
Gianluigi Donnarumma will come back in between the sticks after ceding his place to cup goalkeeper James Trafford at the weekend.
There is no Rotation may come in the back line, with the likes of Rayan Ait-Nouri and Ruben Dias waiting in the wings. Marc Guehi will keep his place after a man-of-the-match performance at Wembley alongside Abdukodir Khusanov, who has come into his own in recent months.
