Manchester United reportedly still have no plans to reintegrate Marcus Rashford into their first-team squad next season.
The England international is facing an uncertain summer as he may not end up getting his loan move to Barcelona converted into a permanent deal.
Still, that won’t mean there’s a way back for him at Man Utd, according to the Sun, despite the player posting on X to congratulate the club on their return to the Champions League, which was his first social media post about the Red Devils for almost a year.
While some might have taken that as a hint that Rashford is looking to reconnect with his parent club, it still seems that Old Trafford chiefs would prefer to sell the 28-year-old.
It has seemed the case for a while now that Barca would not take up the option to keep Rashford, despite the United forward doing a decent job during his spell on loan at the Nou Camp.
As previously reported, our understanding is that Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan could be keen on Rashford this summer, with the player frustrated about Barcelona’s stance.
One imagines other clubs could also join the running soon, with Rashford looking like a decent option after 13 goals and 10 assists in all competitions this season.
Some United fans might even look at that and question if they should consider bringing Rashford back into the fold, but it’s fair to say it seems that ship has sailed.
Rashford was once a key player for MUFC, but it looks like he’s benefited from the change of scene since joining Barcelona on loan, so moving again seems like the only realistic option to suit all parties.
