Manchester United's most famous fan has managed to get under the skin of club legend Wayne Rooney.

Frank Ilett, who became world-famous after vowing a year and a half ago not to cut his hair until his beloved club won five consecutive matches, will have to keep waiting after United's draw with West Ham yesterday.

His live stream of the match attracted over 150,000 viewers on his social media platforms, but Wayne Rooney was likely not among them. The British legend did not hold back when speaking about the 29-year-old supporter on the No Tippy Tappy Football podcast: "I'd send him to the other end of the country. He drives me crazy. We're talking about Michael Carrick and Man United trying to win their fifth match in a row, and all anyone discusses is this guy and his haircut. I bet he'll be devastated if Man United wins, because he'll become irrelevant."
