Man Utd announce Youri Tielemans arrival | OneFootball

Manchester United have announced the signing of Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa.

The Belgium international has signed on a five-year contract after the club activated his £35m release clause.

Tielemans has been capped 90 times for his country and is coming off a successful World Cup in which he starred as Belgium reached the quarter-final stage.

"It’s hard to describe just how proud I am to join Manchester United. Signing for such a special club feels incredible, it is the culmination of years of dedication since I first fell in love with football," Tielemans told the club's official website.

The 29-year-old leaves Villa after a successful three-year spell which culminated in Europa League glory in May, with the ex-Leicester City man scoring the opener in the final win over Freiburg.
