Manchester United have reportedly joined the queue of suitors vying for the services of Newcastle United’s Tino Livramento.
The Red Devils will be looking to revamp the midfield next summer, but they are also equally interested in addressing other departments, especially the wings.
Ruben Amorim has been heavily relying on his compatriot Diogo Dalot, but the latter hasn’t always been up to the task. The same goes for Patrick Dorgu, whose development is progressing more slowly than the club had hoped.
In 2026, United will certainly buy at least one new wing-back, and they have reportedly set their sights on a player who has already made a name for himself in the Premier League.
According to The Daily Briefing, MUFC have joined Arsenal and Manchester City in the race for Livramento.

Described as a ‘top’ player with a big future ahead of him, it is no wonder that some of the biggest clubs in the Premier League are pursuing the 23-year-old.
However, the England international already plays for a big EPL side in Newcastle, so luring him away from St. James’ Park won’t be an easy task. Nevertheless, Man Utd and the other top clubs will at least test the waters.
As the source puts it, the former Southampton star would be a definite upgrade on the underwhelming Dalot. In fact, Livramento dominated the duel between the two players in a Premier League contest last April.
Similar to the Portuguese, the Newcastle star is originally a right-back, but he’s also capable of doing a job on the left flank.
Therefore, the Chelsea youth product would be the ideal fit for Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 formation.
That being said, United must also keep tabs on alternative solutions, as recruiting Livramento remains a tough mission, especially considering his importance at Newcastle and the strong competition for his signature.
