Out-of-sorts Manchester United have a nightmare start to the new year as they travel to Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Red Devils have lost their last four matches in all competitions and are struggling to adapt to life under new manager Ruben Amorim. League leaders and Man Utd's fierce foes Liverpool could pile more misery on them this weekend.
Injuries have been an issue for Man Utd this season and they are still without a number of key players, even if the treatment room has emptied over the past month.
Here are the Man Utd players missing for the weekend clash on Merseyside.

Marcus Rashford's future appears to lie away from Old Trafford, with the winger having been exiled in recent weeks following disciplinary issues and a misjudged public interview. However, the academy product did feature in the squad that was dismantled by Newcastle United last Monday, although he didn't step onto the pitch.
Rashford has a strong record against Liverpool and could have been in line for some minutes at Anfield, but illness means that he will be unavailable for selection. With the January transfer window now open, it's possible that he has played his final game for the club.

Mason Mount has had rotten luck with injuries since trading Chelsea for Man Utd and the midfielder is once again sidelined. Having won early favour with Amorim, the 25-year-old suffered a muscle injury during the Manchester derby.
Mount is expected to return in the coming weeks but won't be available against Liverpool - a club that was interested in recruiting him before his nightmarish Old Trafford switch.

Similarly to his compatriot Mount, left-back Luke Shaw simply can't stay fit. The Englishman missed the first months of the campaign after suffering an injury setback in the aftermath of Euro 2024 and only made his first appearance for the Red Devils in Amorim's debut against Ipswich Town.
However, after making just three appearances, Shaw suffered a fresh injury blow, one that has ruled him out of the trip to Anfield on Sunday.
Victor Lindelof is absent in defence / Alex Pantling/GettyImages
Victor Lindelof is another who has seldom featured this season due to persistent and nagging injuries, with the Swede also absent this weekend. He was last seen in the dramatic 4-3 Carabao Cup defeat to Tottenham Hotspur but suffered a fresh injury in north London.
No official timeframe has been placed on Lindelof's return, but the centre-back would have been unlikely to start at Anfield regardless.
