Manchester United will listen to offers of just £30m to sell striker Rasmus Hojlund, a report has claimed.
United paid an initial £64m, plus a further £8m in add-ons, to sign Hojlund from Atalanta in the summer of 2023, but the Denmark international has failed to show his best form in England, managing just 24 goals in 88 appearances across all competitions for the Red Devils.
In the Premier League, Hojlund has just 13 goals from 58 outings, although head coach Ruben Amorim recently insisted the 22-year-old is not entirely responsible for the loss of his goalscoring touch.
With a striker known to be a key transfer priority for United this summer, The Guardian state Hojlund could be on the way out and a fee of just £30m - less than half of the initial payment - would get a job done.
United are looking to raise money to fund a squad rebuild and are currently working on triggering the £62.5m release clause in the contract of Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha.
Selling Hojlund, alongside loan players like Marcus Rashford, Antony and Jadon Sancho, would generate significant funds ahead of a summer which could be complicated by the loss of income that comes from missing out on European football. The Red Devils could still reach the Champions League but must win the Europa League to get there.
A return to Serie A has long been seen as the likeliest escape route for Hojlund. It was previously claimed that Juventus have already held exploratory talks about a summer deal.
United hope to sell Rashford for at least £40m and Sancho for £20m. Chelsea's obligation to buy the latter has already been triggered but the Blues could pay £5m to back out of the agreement.
It is also hoped that Antony could raise around £30m after an impressive loan spell with Real Betis, with all that money likely to be reinvested into the squad.
